Bad Beat Jackpot (BBJ) is a special system in poker where a player who loses with a very strong hand receives a reward. But this prize is not just for the loser—it’s also shared with the winner of the hand and the other players at the same table. The goal of BBJ is to compensate the player who suffers a "bad beat"... with a generous prize!
Trigger Conditions for the Jackpot
Certain special conditions must be met for the BBJ to be triggered:

Prize Distribution (When BBJ Hits)
When the jackpot is triggered, the prize is distributed as follows:
- 10% to the losing player (suffered bad beat)
- 4% to the winning player
- 4% to other active players (even if they folded)

Example 1:
- Jackpot Pool: $100,000
- Stake: $10/$20
- Jackpot Multiplier: 15%
- Total prize: $100,000 × 0.15 = $15,000
- Loser: $1,500
- Winner: $600
- Others: $600 (e.g., ~$150 each for 4 players)
Example 2:
- Jackpot Pool: $100,000
- Stake: $0.25/$0.50
- Jackpot Multiplier: 2%
- Total prize: $100,000 × 0.02 = $2,000
- Loser: $200
- Winner: $80
- Others: $80 total
